For the first post of my new blog i am going to talk about the wonderful island of Ibiza. Hope you enjoy it.
The Island of Ibiza is situated in the Mediterranean sea, just off the coast of Valencia. It is the third largest of the Balearic islands and is very beautiful. Owned by the Spanish, the Spanish speaking residents of the island are some of the nicest people that you could ever meet. The capital city is called Ibiza town and it split into two parts: Ibiza old town and Ibiza new town, both as beautiful as the other.
On the island the people traditionally speak Catalan and later on it was coupled with Spanish. Today as a tourist you can expect the locals to not only speak the traditional languages but also that of English, German and Italian. This was so the locals could interact with the tourists, which is one reason why its such a hot spot in recent years.
For many years one of the main reasons that people have been drawn to the island is because of the night life. The two main places on the island for this is San Antonio Bay in the west and Ibiza town which is the capital. many of the most well known clubs are situated in these two places. Also there are some clubs situated in Playa Den Bossa, which host famous clubs such as Space and BoraBora. I have read many reviews of the clubbing scene in Ibiza that has said that it is very good, however i haven't experienced it myself so i can not comment on this particular factor.
Ibiza it self has a lot of history and a lot of this history can still be seen and explored today. Right from the traditional hippie markets, to the old town there's plenty for all of the family to see. If you higher a car you will see that some of the farms are quent. Also an advantage of hiring a car is that you will be able to explore many of the little cove beaches. These beaches are some of the best on the island as the water is crystal clear, hardly any waves, the beach is amazing white sand and there is hardly anyone else on the beach.
This brings me to the end of this post. I hope you enjoyed it. Thanks you so much for reading this and hope you carry on reading. So until next time ... Goodbye and happy travels!
